What is Yoni Steaming?
Yoni steaming is an ancient practice that has been used throughout many cultures throughout history. The Mayans called it Bajo and Koreans call is Chai-Yok but here in the West, we call it vaginal steam, Yoni steam or v-steam. Yoni is the Sanscrit word for "Sacred Temple." This practice has been performed for hundreds of years by women from cultures around the world including Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, the Caribbean, and Africa. This age-old practice involves infusing medicinal herbs into water and allowing the steam to increase circulation, thin mucus, and cleanse the entire reproductive system. Similar to facial steaming, Yoni steaming also dilates blood vessels and increases oxygen with the added benefit of relaxing the pelvic floor. The practice of Yoni steaming allows women to empower themselves via reconnecting with their bodies.
